The drawstring is a cream-and-gold braided cord, and both ends are heat-sealed so the gold filaments do not fray. The cord's thickness has to match the pouch's proportions: too thick and it looks clumsy, too thin and one pull pleats the mouth. Inside, a velvet liner cushions rings, pendants, studs and bracelets so nothing scratches or rattles, and the pile tames the metal's shine into a soft, matte calm when the pouch opens.
Our standard pouch is 80×80×35mm, and we take custom sizes too. MOQ is 1,000 pieces for a small run and 5,000 for bulk; below that, the plate and machine-setup fees simply will not amortize. Packing is one OPP dust bag per pouch, then a five-layer outer carton that survives long-haul shipping without crushing. Satin is the enemy of damp—mildew spots are a real risk—so the warehouse stays dry and we sample before every rainy season.
Satin has its own weight grade. Too thin and the lining colour shows through when the pouch is full; too thick and it loses the soft glow and goes stiff. We use a 90 to 100 g satin—good drape, no show-through. The embroidery stitch density must be tight, because loose stitches snag; after stitching the pouch passes a needle detector, since a broken needle fragment left inside is a hard defect no client will accept. The mouth's drawstring mechanics matter too: a channel that is too narrow jams, too wide and the mouth will not close; we leave a 6 mm channel and finish the cord ends with a matching wooden or metal bead that looks right and stops the cord from retracting into the bag. The velvet liner now uses a solvent-free process—low odour, passes inspection—where the old glued flocking smelled sharply and made clients wince.
When clients order these gift pouches, I tell them to decide volume versus quality first. For volume, pick high-density woven fabric with foil printing: cheap and fast. For quality, go satin with embroidery and a 3D shape: slow work, fine result. A shape like the bunny ear is highly recognizable and suits a brand's holiday or collaboration drop; for everyday use a plain pouch is steadier. The pouch and the box are not either-or—small pieces travel light in a bag, but a full gift set still needs a box. Match the container to the product and the occasion, and that is the arithmetic that actually pays.
