The bird is positioned embroidery, and the start and end points must land on the pouch centerline; two millimeters off and the whole bird tilts. The silver thread tension matters too: too tight and the face puckers, too loose and the thread floats and pills at a scratch. We run a sample on each machine before production to confirm tension. The body is 80 by 80 by 35 millimeters, enough to cradle a ring or a pendant, with a bracelet rolled in. Colors are cream, black and burgundy, all customizable, and the dye lot is locked to a batch number so two shipments for one client never drift apart. We pick a medium-high satin weight: too light and the liner shows through, too heavy and it will not drape. The embroidery pitch stays at four to five stitches per centimeter — too loose and the silver floats, too tight and the face goes stiff. The drawstring is the same-color braided cord, so it reads as one piece with the body rather than two tones.
Inside is a velvet liner that shares the work with the satin: the outer satin keeps dust and scratches off, the inner velvet cushions the piece against knocks. The drawstring is doubled and knotted at the end so it will not undo in a pull. The minimum is one thousand pieces for a bespoke color and embroidered mark, five thousand for the larger run — friendly enough for a brand testing a small custom batch. The shape can be tuned to the contents — a larger piece gets a flared base and a wider mouth — but we discourage going too deep, because a deep bag will not close neatly under the drawstring and the mouth stays open. Cream shows soil fastest, so for a custom run we often pair it with a drawstring one tone darker: practical and still clean. That small call is the difference between a pouch that reads premium and one that looks tired after a week. After embroidery we run an inspection — if the stitch at the bird's eye loosens the whole creature looks vacant, so we check the eye and beak specifically. The drawstring hole is bound with a same-color woven edge so a pull will not tear a thread from the satin. For small custom runs we suggest thirty samples first, to confirm the mark position and the pouch hand before scaling up.
Each pouch gets its own OPP dust bag, then joins a five-layer carton with a moisture pack, so long shipping will not bring damp. One thing this trade teaches: a good pouch is also a jewel's first impression. Satin with silver-thread embroidery opens light and closes with dignity. That is the whole quiet job of packaging: to do its part without asking for credit, and to let the piece inside be the only thing anyone remembers.
