Our standard layout for retail clients is a three-step cascade. Top: one open ZBH9 with a sample ring inside, so people see the velvet lining and the stamped nameplate. Middle: two or three closed ones in burgundy and cream, showing the colour options. ZBD23", making the box-plus-pouch story clear. The ZBD23 is satin with a silver-threaded JunSheng logo; next to the velvet pouch, the two textures tell the difference the moment a hand touches them.
A failure we see constantly: stores dump boxes in a counter corner still wrapped in the factory OPP dust bag, dusty and grey. The ZBH9 ships in "separate OPP dust bag plus five-layer carton" — that is for logistics. On display it must come off, or customers read it as clearance leftovers.
Lighting matters too. A rounded box loves side light; top light flattens the gold stamping. Hit it at 45 degrees and the gilt edge jumps. Pouches want soft light; the satin ZBD23 hates harsh glare that throws a hot spot, so a diffuser layer keeps it calm.
Then there is rhythm. Do not leave sample boxes in one pose for three months. We suggest a small reset every two weeks: switch the hero colour, loosen a pouch's drawstring to show the lining, swap the brand card. Leave it static and even the staff stop mentioning it.
Size must speak with one voice. The ZBH9 is an 80×80×35mm small rounded box. Drop a larger clamshell next to it and the proportion breaks, the neatness gone. Our advice: build the display matrix from one spec; leave mixed sizes for the warehouse, not the counter.
The math is the interesting part. One open ZBH9 plus one loosened ZBD23 costs a few yuan yet occupies the counter's most valuable sightline. It holds no stock, ties up no capital, and tells the brand story daily. Against printed posters and roll-up banners, this box-plus-pouch sample is near-zero maintenance. And because high-end jewelry packaging now favours small-batch quick sampling — MOQ from 500 lets a store refresh the version every two weeks — the counter always has something new to show. A store that refreshes its sample box every two weeks also signals to regulars that the brand is alive: small effort, steady signal.
In the end, a box in the store is not merchandise; it is a living ad. A well-set ZBH9 does more than ten flyers. Behind it sits the flexible minimums of custom jewelry boxes and jewelry pouch production — small batches that still yield new samples, so the counter always has something to swap in. One more note: the brand card beside the box is not decoration. It is the only line of text a customer reads without asking, so keep it current and keep it honest.
