盒子的开合也有讲究。ZBH1 用的是磁吸翻盖，磁石藏在盖沿和盒身里，吸力调到刚好的手感——太松盖不住，太紧一开就响。盒胚壁厚我们控制在 1.2 毫米上下，太薄棱角发虚，太厚又压手。八角盒不像圆盒受力均匀，八个平面拼起来，角部最吃力，所以角位壁厚要比平面略加，注塑时才不会缩水凹进去。
起订量上，ZBH1 小单 500、大单 2000 起。小批量适合品牌打样和节日限定，大单走常规款。包装用 OPP 防尘袋套好，再进五层外箱，角上塞护角，怕的是运输压到棱。我们每批抽三盒做开合测试，磁吸盖开合两百次不掉磁、不松旷才出库。

Our zbpack ZBH1 carries an eight-sided shape, a matte red face, a gold edge running all the way around, and a foil-stamped logo on the lid. It fits small pieces like rings and pendants just right, sized 80 by 80 by 35 millimeters, light in the hand.
The eight corners are hard because of the wrap. The blank is injection-molded plastic with sharp edges, and getting one clean layer of material over them without a bubble relies on the mold parting line and a careful hand finish. If that parting line is not pressed clean during molding, a seam shows on the edge and gets worse once the covering goes on. So we inspect the parting line on every batch first, and anything over the burr limit goes back as a whole lot. The octagon mold also needs a draft angle; too little and the box sticks in the tool, too much and the corner goes blunt with a soft edge line. That balance is set through trial shots.
The gold edge is the box's face. ZBH1 gets a groove cut along the edge first, then the gold material is set into the groove and pressed, not merely stuck on as a strip. Sticking lifts easily, especially in the humid south, where the glue loosens and the edge curls. The set-and-press method is more work, but it survives repeated opening. The foil logo on the lid needs a deeper impression to stand proud; too shallow and it flattens at a touch. Foil lives on temperature and pressure: too low and it will not stick, too high and the plastic scorches, so we re-sample every new batch of material to fix the parameters.
The lining is easy to overlook. Inside sits a satin-finish cloth lining, with a slot cut for rings and a velvet pad left for pendants. Slot depth follows common ring sizes: too shallow and the ring jumps, too deep and it is hard to lift. At sampling we test with a real ring; it has to hold steady without biting the finger. Satin is slippery, and a pendant cord tends to tangle, so for the pendant spot we switch to short-pile velvet, a bit more friction to hold it.
The opening matters too. ZBH1 uses a magnetic lid, with magnets tucked into the lid edge and the body, tuned to a just-right pull: too loose and it will not stay, too tight and it clicks on opening. We hold the blank wall around 1.2 millimeters; too thin and the corners look hollow, too thick and it weighs on the hand. Unlike a round box, an octagon carries its load across eight flat faces, and the corners take the most stress, so the corner walls run slightly thicker than the faces to avoid sink marks on molding.
On minimums, ZBH1 starts at 500 for a small run and 2000 for a large one. Small batches suit brand sampling and holiday editions; large runs are for the regular line. Packaging wraps each box in an OPP dust bag, then into a five-ply carton with corner protectors, because what we fear in transit is a crush on the edge. From every batch we pull three boxes for an open-close test; the magnetic lid must survive two hundred cycles without losing pull or going loose before it ships.
When picking an octagon box, first check that all eight corners are even. Run a finger around; any corner that feels sharp or shows a raised spot means the wrap was done poorly.
